We are recruiting for an experienced Chef Manager to lead the catering operation within a well-established care home in Stocksbridge, Sheffield (S36). This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and organised kitchen professional who enjoys leading a team, delivering high-quality meals, and making a positive difference to residents' daily lives.

The Role

As Chef Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the kitchen, ensuring residents receive fresh, nutritious, and well-presented meals every day. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing the kitchen team
  • Planning, preparing and serving meals throughout the day
  • Managing food ordering, stock control and supplier relationships
  • Producing staff rotas and ensuring adequate shift coverage
  • Maintaining exceptional food hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Completing all kitchen compliance and due diligence documentation
  • Training and supporting staff on food safety and allergen procedures
  • Preparing baked goods and catering for special dining requests when required
  • Working closely with the Home Manager and wider care team

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a Chef Manager or senior kitchen leadership role
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and kitchen compliance
  • Experience within care homes, healthcare catering, hospitality or a similar environment
  • A passion for delivering high-quality food and service
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy kitchen operation
