We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Installer / Trainee Loft Installer to join our growing installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical hands-on work and wants to develop a long-term career within the industry.
The role is designed as a development position, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to build the skills and experience required to progress into a fully qualified Head Installer over time.
Working Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am start until finish
- 37.5 hours per week
- Pay rate: Β£12.71 per hour
Role Overview
As an Installer, you will support the Head Installer with loft installations while learning all aspects of the role, including raised loft flooring systems, loft hatches, ladders, customer service, health & safety, and finishing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Installer with daily loft installation work
- Learn how to install raised loft flooring systems safely and correctly
- Assist with loading materials, tools, and equipment
- Protect customer properties using dust sheets and safe working practices
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Follow company installation procedures and instructions at all times
- Develop practical installation skills through on-site training
- Help maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
- Assist with cleaning all work areas thoroughly upon completion
- Wear and maintain correct PPE and follow health & safety procedures
- Support the installation team in completing jobs efficiently and professionally
Daily Duties
- Arrive at the depot before 7:00am to assist with loading materials and equipment
- Help check tools, PPE, consumables, and materials before departure
- Travel to customer properties with the Head Installer
- Lay dust sheets and protect customer property before work begins
- Assist with loft boarding and raised flooring installations
- Learn how to fit loft hatches, ladders, and finishing trims
- Keep the work area clean and organised throughout the day
- Assist with removing rubbish and waste materials from site
- Clean surrounding areas before leaving site
- Observe and learn customer handover and sign-off procedures
- Assist with installation photographs where required
- Follow all company health & safety procedures
