Quest Employment is currently looking for experienced Shunters Drivers to join a busy and well-established logistics operation in Derby.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with previous yard, logistics or transport experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You'll play a key role in keeping the site running efficiently by safely moving trailers around the yard and ensuring they are positioned for loading and unloading.
The Role
As a Yard Shunter, your responsibilities will include: Safely moving trailers between designated yard locations and loading bays Positioning trailers accurately for loading and unloading operations Carrying out routine vehicle and equipment safety checks Monitoring trailer movements and maintaining an organized yard Communicating effectively with warehouse and transport teams Reporting defects, hazards, or operational issues promptly Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the yard Following all Health & Safety procedures and site regulations at all times
What We're Looking For Previous experience in a yard, transport, or logistics environment Good awareness of Health & Safety procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and hardworking Flexible approach with a positive attitude
Please note: Due to the remote location and limited public transport links, your own transport is highly desirable.

Training
Successful candidates will complete their first two weeks of training at an alternative warehouse location before transferring to the main site in Derby.
