Quest Employment is currently recruiting for Stock Control Team Leaders to join our client's warehouse and logistics operation. We have opportunities available on both
AM and PM shifts
for experienced stock control professionals with previous team leadership or supervisory experience. The successful candidate will lead a team of Stock Controllers, oversee daily stock integrity activities and ensure high levels of inventory accuracy across the warehouse. The Role
As a Stock Control Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the Stock Control team, ensuring stock movements are accurately recorded and discrepancies are investigated and resolved. You will work closely with Warehouse, Goods In, Goods Out and Operations teams while supporting continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities
Leading and supporting the Stock Control team Allocating daily workloads and ensuring tasks are completed on time Monitoring stock accuracy through cycle counts and audits Leading daily and weekly cycle counting activities Investigating stock discrepancies and implementing corrective actions Maintaining accurate stock adjustments within WMS/ERP systems Overseeing stock accuracy checks across Goods In and Goods Out Coaching and supporting team members Supporting the training and development of new employees Monitoring stock-related KPIs and performance Producing and analysing stock reports for management Monitoring slow-moving, obsolete and at-risk stock Supporting internal and external audits Working with other warehouse teams to resolve stock issues Investigating root causes of stock errors and implementing preventative actions Supporting continuous improvement projects Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, Health & Safety and compliance Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in stock control, inventory or warehouse operations 2+ years' stock control or inventory experience desirable Previous Team Leader or supervisory experience preferred Strong understanding of warehouse and stock control processes Experience using WMS/ERP systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Good written and verbal communication skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment Reliable, organised and proactive approach Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stock control and be confident leading a small team. You will be comfortable analysing stock data, investigating discrepancies and working with different warehouse departments to improve inventory accuracy and operational performance. Pay & Benefits
