About the Role

Quest Employment are looking for reliable and motivated Warehouse Operatives to join our busy warehouse team in Wellingborough. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and dispatch of stock while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) where authorised and trained.
  • Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners, pick sheets, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Pack and prepare orders for dispatch in line with customer and company requirements.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, check, and book in incoming deliveries.
  • Put away stock into designated warehouse locations.
  • Replenish picking locations to ensure stock availability.
  • Carry out stock counts and support inventory control activities.
  • Assist with stock movements, relocations, and warehouse organisation projects.
  • Handle products carefully to minimise damage and waste.
  • Work towards individual and team productivity targets while maintaining quality standards.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.
  • Report accidents, incidents, hazards, and near misses promptly.
  • Use warehouse equipment and machinery safely and responsibly.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across all warehouse areas.
  • Wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Support compliance with company quality standards and operational procedures.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals.
  • Communicate effectively regarding stock discrepancies, shortages, damages, or operational issues.
  • Provide support across different warehouse functions during busy periods when required.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills and processes.

  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, goods-in, and dispatch.

Desirable

  • Experience operating MHE equipment such as PPT, LLOP, Reach Truck, Counterbalance, or VNA.

  • Experience within a high-volume distribution or logistics environment.
