Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am - 4:30pm | Friday, 7:30am - 12:30pm

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Closing Room Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Northampton, NN1. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience within a footwear, garment, textile or manufacturing environment. The role would suit someone who has a strong eye for detail, understands production flow, and can support a team to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

The Role

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring production targets, quality standards and workflow are maintained.
  • Supervising the Closing Room team and supporting daily production.
  • Monitoring quality standards throughout the department.
  • Carrying out regular spot checks and ensuring work meets required standards.
  • Allocating work based on team skills, priorities and production needs.
  • Liaising with planning, managers and other departments to maintain production flow.
  • Reporting any production issues or delays promptly.
  • Supporting booking in and booking out processes where required.
  • Providing guidance, support and constructive feedback to team members.
  • Ensuring machinery, equipment and the room are maintained correctly.
  • Supporting hands-on production work when required.
  • Promoting a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Following all health and safety procedures.

  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role.
  • Experience within footwear, garment, textile or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
  • Confidence in managing workflow and production priorities.
  • Good communication and team leadership skills.
  • Able to work closely with other departments and managers.
  • Proactive, organised and able to support change within a department.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and support production when needed.
