Hours: Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: 8-hour working day with a 30-minute break
Start / Finish Times: To be agreed between 8:00am - 6:00pm

Saturday Work: Potential Saturday work available if wanted
Laboratory Technicians Required - Northampton NN4
Quest Employment are currently recruiting for Laboratory Technicians to support a busy laboratory operation based in Brackmills, Northampton.
This is a temporary role until the end of October, ideal for reliable candidates who are happy to get stuck in and support a range of laboratory, testing, admin and general operational tasks.
No previous laboratory experience is required, as training will be provided. However, candidates with previous laboratory, science, testing, quality, production, food, pharmaceutical or admin experience would be highly beneficial.
The Role
As a Laboratory Technician, your duties may include:
Supporting the testing and processing of samples
Carrying out basic laboratory support duties
Entering sample information and data accurately
Helping prepare and organise samples for testing
Supporting with quality checks where required
Assembling outgoing testing kits for clients
Creating dispatch labels and preparing items for dispatch
Moving items and materials around the site
Completing general admin tasks
Keeping records and paperwork accurate and up to date
Cleaning and maintaining work areas and equipment
Following health and safety procedures at all times
Supporting the wider laboratory team with any reasonable tasks

Are confident using computers for basic admin and data entry
Can follow instructions carefully
Can work safely and accurately
Are comfortable moving items and supporting practical tasks
Can work well independently and as part of a team
Have an interest in science, testing or laboratory work, desirable
Have previous laboratory experience, desirable but not essential
