We are seeking an experienced Beam Saw Operator / Wood Machinist to join a skilled and friendly production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience working with sheet materials who takes pride in accuracy, quality, and working independently.
As a Beam Saw Operator / Wood Machinist, you will be responsible for:
- Operating a Homag beam saw
- Managing your own workload
- Ensuring materials are processed efficiently to meet production targets
- Reading and interpreting cutting lists and production schedules
- Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Monitoring quality throughout the cutting process
- Minimising material waste and maximising efficiency
- Working collaboratively with the wider production team
Requirements:
- Strong background in woodworking, panel processing, or wood machining
- Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment
Pay Rate: £14.50 - £17.00 per hour (depending on experience)
