Date: Immediate start available Warehouse Assistant / Showroom Assistant Required - Northampton NN4 Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant / Showroom Assistant to support a busy warehouse and showroom operation based in Northampton, NN4.
This is a varied part-time role suited to someone who is hands-on, physically fit and confident speaking with customers face to face.
The successful candidate will support with warehouse duties, showroom cleaning, unpacking deliveries, moving stock, customer service and occasional delivery support using the company van once insured.
This role will involve working independently at times, so we are looking for someone who is trustworthy, well-spoken, presentable and able to use their own initiative.
Full training will be provided on the products, showroom process, customer service, taking payments, safe lifting techniques and company procedures.
- The Role As a Warehouse Assistant / Showroom Assistant, your duties may include:
- Unpacking deliveries and checking goods
- Moving stock and materials around the warehouse
- Re-palletising products carefully and safely
- Handling heavy items as part of daily duties
- Carefully repositioning products from vertical storage into flat positions
- Cleaning and maintaining showroom areas to a high standard
- Cleaning at height using ladders safely where required
- Supporting general warehouse organisation and housekeeping
- Assisting customers when they come into the showroom
- Answering basic customer questions once trained
- Taking customer payments once trained
- Learning product and business information to support customer queries
- Completing occasional delivery duties using the company van when required
- Working safely and following all health and safety procedures

- Have previous warehouse, labouring, showroom, retail or customer service experience
- Are physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Are confident climbing ladders and cleaning at height
- Have good attention to detail when handling products
- Are polite, well-spoken and confident dealing with customers
- Can work independently and use their own initiative
- Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Are willing to learn product information and payment processes
- Can work safely, carefully and responsibly
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Are happy to drive a company van for occasional deliveries once insured
- Are flexible to work 2-3 days per week when required
