Hours: Wednesday to Sunday | 8:00am - 4:30pm

Break: 30 minutes unpaid

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a reliable and proactive Hygiene Operative / Cleaner to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing site based in Weedon, NN7. This is a temporary role for 3 months initially, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate based on performance, attendance and business requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the site, including offices, reception areas, conference rooms, toilets, washrooms, pantries, kitchen areas and communal spaces. You may also support cleaning within Production, QC and Warehouse areas once fully trained.

The Role

  • Cleaning and maintaining offices, reception and communal areas
  • Cleaning conference rooms, meeting rooms, tables, chairs, floors and surfaces
  • Hoovering, sweeping and mopping designated areas
  • Cleaning stairs, steps, handrails and high-touch areas
  • Cleaning accessible windows, internal glass doors and partitions
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
  • Responding to spills and ad-hoc cleaning requirements
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washrooms regularly throughout the day
  • Replenishing toilet rolls, hand soap, hand towels and other washroom supplies
  • Completing toilet and cleaning check records accurately
  • Maintaining pantry and kitchen areas
  • Loading and unloading dishwashers
  • Cleaning worktops, sinks, tables, kitchen appliances and fridges
  • Organising pantry cupboards and consumables
  • Supporting Production, QC and Warehouse cleaning when trained
  • Following cleaning schedules, SOPs and site procedures
  • Storing cleaning chemicals and materials safely
  • Reporting hygiene, maintenance or safety concerns promptly

What We're Looking For

  • Have previous cleaning experience, ideally within commercial, industrial, manufacturing or site-cleaning environments
  • Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Have high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Are comfortable cleaning toilets and washrooms regularly
  • Can work independently and take ownership of assigned areas
  • Are proactive and can notice what needs cleaning without waiting to be told
  • Are happy carrying out physically active cleaning duties throughout the day
  • Can follow written cleaning schedules and procedures
  • Can complete basic cleaning records accurately
  • Are comfortable working in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment
  • Are flexible to support Production, QC and Warehouse cleaning once trained

Desirable Experience

  • COSHH awareness
  • GMP awareness
  • Previous cleaning experience within pharmaceutical, manufacturing, food production, warehouse or industrial environments
  • Experience working from cleaning schedules or checklists
