Quest Employment are urgently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Forklift Engineer to join a busy operation based in Northampton, NN4. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who is looking for a long-term role, stable working hours and the chance to develop within a supportive working environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing forklifts, ensuring equipment is kept safe, operational and ready for daily use.
The Role
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing forklifts
- Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs
- Completing basic electrical and mechanical checks where required
- Ensuring forklifts are safe and operational
- Carrying out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Reporting faults, damage or safety concerns
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Keeping accurate records of work completed
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
What We're Looking For
- Have previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Forklift Technician or Mechanical Engineer
- Have experience repairing, servicing or maintaining forklifts
- Have strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Are confident diagnosing and fixing faults
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
