As Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities during your assigned shift, ensuring operational targets and KPIs are consistently achieved. You will lead and support warehouse teams while ensuring workflows are managed effectively in line with customer demands, staffing levels, and operational priorities.

Shift: Monday to Saturday (one day off in the middle of the week)
Working Hours: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Oversee all warehouse operations during the assigned shift
    • Ensure productivity targets, KPIs, and service levels are consistently achieved
    • Coordinate inbound, outbound, replenishment, and stock movement activities
    • Manage workflow in line with labour planning, order volumes, and operational deadlines
    • Ensure accurate completion of shift reports, handovers, and system updates
  • Leadership & People Management
    • Lead, motivate, and support Warehouse Operatives, Team Leaders, and FLT Drivers
    • Conduct daily shift briefings and communicate operational priorities clearly
    • Support performance management, coaching, and employee development
    • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
    • Promote a positive, engaged, and safety-focused working culture
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, company procedures, and site policies
    • Promote a strong safety culture through audits, reporting, and proactive engagement
    • Ensure safe use of MHE equipment and adherence to warehouse safety procedures
    • Investigate operational, product, or process-related issues where required
    • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and operational compliance
  • Process Improvement & Systems
    • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and 5S activities
    • Analyse operational performance data and contribute to problem-solving activities
    • Ensure inventory accuracy and correct use of warehouse systems and processes

About You

We are looking for organised and proactive warehouse professionals with:

  • Previous experience within a warehouse supervisory or shift management role
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and MHE processes
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and best practices

Desirable Experience

  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • FLT licences or operational MHE experience
