Quest Employment is currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Recycling Plant Team Leader to join a busy recycling operation in Sharnbrook. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous leadership experience within recycling, production, warehouse, or manufacturing environments who is looking for a long-term opportunity with career progression.
The Role
As a Recycling Plant Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the plant, ensuring production targets, operational efficiency, and Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times. You will be responsible for leading site operations, supporting the workforce, and ensuring workloads are organised effectively across the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily production planning across both balers
- Monitoring KPIs and reporting downtime
- Organising workloads for site cleaners and production staff
- Carrying out yard inspections
- Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
- Supporting smooth day-to-day plant operations
- Supervising production activities and ensuring targets are achieved
- Leading, motivating, and supporting the team on site
Requirements
- Previous team leader or supervisory experience within recycling, production, warehouse, or manufacturing
- FLT licence preferred
- Experience with team management and production planning
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
