The Role
As a Tree Officer, you will provide professional forestry and arboricultural advice, carry out tree inspections, support tree planting initiatives, and assist with the management of tree and woodland assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out tree inspections on highways and other sites
- Provide arboricultural advice to colleagues, contractors, landowners, and the public
- Assist with tree planting schemes and woodland management projects
- Prepare reports, specifications, and maintenance records
- Monitor contractors and oversee tree-related works
- Identify tree species, pests, diseases, and associated risks
- Support emergency responses and planned environmental projects when required
- Maintain accurate records and assist with database management
Requirements
- Previous experience in arboriculture, forestry, or tree management
- Knowledge of tree inspection and maintenance practices
