Production & Assembly Operatives Required - Wellingborough
Quest Employment are currently recruiting Production & Assembly Operatives to join a busy and well-established construction manufacturing business based in Wellingborough. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking for stable full-time hours, weekly pay, training and the chance to build a long-term career within manufacturing.
The role will involve producing high-quality timber construction products, including roofing systems, timber frames, boarding and other structural building components. Full training will be provided, with opportunities to develop across different areas of the business.
The Role
- Manufacturing and assembling timber construction products
- Working with roofing systems, boarding, timber frames and structural components
- Using hand tools and power tools, including nail guns, saws and woodworking equipment
- Measuring, cutting and preparing timber materials for production
- Reading basic production instructions and assembling products to specification
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Moving materials and supporting stock organisation
- Assisting with general yard and production duties
- Keeping workstations clean, tidy and safe
- Working as part of a team to meet daily production targets
- Following all site health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Have previous experience in production, manufacturing, construction, assembly, woodworking, warehouse or yard work, desirable but not essential
- Have experience using hand tools or power tools, beneficial but not essential
- Are physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Have good attention to detail
- Can follow instructions accurately
- Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Can work well as part of a team
- Have a good understanding of health and safety practices
Desirable Experience
- Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Side Loader licence
- Multi-Directional Forklift Truck licence
- Previous timber manufacturing experience
- Previous construction or assembly experience
Training and Development
Full training will be provided. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to learn different manufacturing processes, develop their skill set and progress within the business.
