The Role

This role involves working within a chilled environment and offers opportunities across both dispatch and fresh food production departments. Successful candidates will be comfortable working in a cold environment, carrying out physical tasks, and maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Dispatch Operative
    • Picking customer orders accurately
    • Scanning order tickets and products
    • Palletising and preparing orders for dispatch
    • Moving and lifting boxes weighing up to 20kg
    • Ensuring orders are packed correctly and ready for shipment
    • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Fresh Room Operative
    • Preparing and processing fresh fish products
    • Packing products into appropriate packaging
    • Labelling products accurately
    • Following food safety and hygiene procedures
    • Conducting quality checks on products
    • Maintaining cleanliness within the production area

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, production, food production, or dispatch experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Comfortable working in a chilled environment
  • Able to carry out manual handling and lift up to 20kg
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Understanding of health and safety procedures

Working Environment
