We are looking for an experienced

Network Management Technician

to support the effective management of the highway network, helping to maintain safe, reliable and efficient journeys for road users.

You will support the coordination of highway works, permit and licence applications, network data, inspections, compliance activities and traffic management. The role also involves liaising with customers, contractors, works promoters and other stakeholders, investigating issues and ensuring information is accurately maintained.

Key Responsibilities Support the coordination and administration of highway works, permits and licences.

Assist with highway inspections, compliance and remedial works.

Maintain and manage network information and data.

Support traffic management and network performance activities.

Respond to enquiries and liaise with a range of stakeholders.

Investigate problems and provide appropriate technical support.

Produce and interpret technical and non-technical information, reports, maps and drawings.

Work independently while following relevant policies, procedures and legislation.

Essential Requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent , such as BTEC in Civil Engineering or relevant A-Levels,

or substantial relevant experience

with a commitment to achieving the required qualifications.

Experience working in an

engineering/highways environment , including design, maintenance, management or administration.

Experience working in a

commercial environment

and delivering projects or programmes to time, quality and cost.

Experience liaising with customers/clients and other stakeholders.

Good experience of

IT and Microsoft Office or equivalent systems .

Ability to accurately manage, store and retrieve information.

Experience producing and interpreting technical and non-technical reports, technical advice or drawings.

Experience of

problem investigation and assessment .

Knowledge of relevant

highways legislation and CDM Regulations .

Knowledge of highway design standards, construction techniques, asset management or maintenance standards.

Excellent

written and verbal communication and organisational skills .

Ability to interpret

maps, plans and engineering drawings .

Ability to travel to different locations as required.
