Quest Employment is currently recruiting a reliable and proactive
Hygiene Operative / Cleaner
to join a pharmaceutical manufacturing site based in Weedon, Northamptonshire. This role is initially offered on a
3-month temporary contract , with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, subject to performance, attendance and business requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across offices, reception areas, conference rooms, toilets, washrooms, kitchen areas and communal spaces. Once fully trained, you may also support cleaning within Production, QC and Warehouse areas. The Role
Your duties may include: Cleaning and maintaining offices, reception and communal areas
Cleaning conference and meeting rooms, floors and surfaces
Hoovering, sweeping and mopping designated areas
Cleaning stairs, handrails and high-touch surfaces
Cleaning accessible windows, glass doors and partitions
Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
Responding to spills and ad-hoc cleaning requirements
Cleaning and sanitising toilets and washrooms throughout the day
Replenishing washroom supplies, including toilet rolls, soap and hand towels
Completing cleaning records and checklists accurately
Maintaining pantry and kitchen areas
Loading and unloading dishwashers
Cleaning worktops, sinks, tables, appliances and fridges
Supporting Production, QC and Warehouse cleaning once trained
Following cleaning schedules, SOPs and site procedures
Storing cleaning chemicals and materials safely
Reporting hygiene, maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Skills & Experience Required
We are looking for candidates who: Have previous commercial, industrial, manufacturing or site-cleaning experience
Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
Have high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
Are comfortable regularly cleaning toilets and washrooms
Can work independently and take ownership of assigned areas
Are proactive and able to identify cleaning requirements
Are comfortable carrying out physically active duties throughout the day
Can follow written cleaning schedules and procedures
Can complete basic cleaning records accurately
Are comfortable working in a pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment
Are flexible to support other departments once fully trained
Desirable Experience
COSHH awareness
GMP awareness
Cleaning experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, food production, warehouse or industrial environments
Experience working with cleaning schedules or checklists
Pay & Benefits
