Quest Employment is recruiting experienced HLOP Drivers to join our client's busy warehouse operation in the DE24 area. Please note: the first 2 weeks of training will take place at the client's site in DE74. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are key.
Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday or Sunday- Thursday or Tuesday- Saturday 2:00pm-10:00pm
Pay Rates:
- £14.14 per hour 2:00pm to 8:00pm
- £17.15 per hour 8:00pm to 10:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HLOP trucks in accordance with training, certification, and site procedures.
- Complete daily pre-use equipment checks and report any defects or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices.
- Safely operate HLOP equipment at height while maintaining full awareness and control at all times.
- Move, replenish, retrieve, and store stock accurately within warehouse locations.
- Ensure all stock movements are correctly recorded using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Support warehouse operations, including picking, replenishment, loading, unloading, and general stock handling as required.
- Work flexibly across HLOP and general warehouse duties to meet operational demands.
- Maintain high standards of productivity, accuracy, and housekeeping.
- Report stock discrepancies, damages, or operational issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Promote and contribute to a strong safety-first culture.
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating HLOP equipment within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid HLOP/MHE licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent) or willingness to undertake training.
- Experience operating other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is advantageous.
- Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work safely at height.
- Experience using WMS and RF scanning systems.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Strong communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
