Ready to hit the ground running? We're looking for an experienced Quality Engineer who doesn't need months of training or hand-holding. This is an opportunity to step into a busy manufacturing environment, make an immediate impact and play a key role in a major period of change. This isn't a role for someone looking to learn the basics. We need someone who already knows quality inside out, can confidently lead audits, challenge processes, investigate issues and drive improvements from day one.
You'll be joining a business investing in new equipment, new processes and continuous improvement, making this an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience whilst working on an exciting transformation project.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading internal process and system audits
- Maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Supporting BRC and customer audit requirements
- Investigating customer complaints, non-conformances and supplier issues using root cause analysis
- Driving CAPA activities and ensuring corrective actions are effective
- Monitoring quality KPIs and identifying improvement opportunities
- Working closely with Production, Engineering and Supply Chain teams
- Supporting process validation and documentation
- Championing continuous improvement across the site
- Promoting a strong quality culture throughout the business
What we're looking for:
You'll already have experience as a Quality Engineer within an FMCG manufacturing environment and be comfortable stepping straight into a fast-paced operation. Ideally you'll have experience with:
- BRC auditing and retailer standards
- Internal auditing
- Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- CAPA and Root Cause Analysis
- 5 Whys, FMEA and PDCA problem-solving tools
- HACCP
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement
- Working closely with production teams to improve quality performance
Experience within paper, packaging, personal care or cosmetics manufacturing would be particularly attractive, although other FMCG backgrounds will also be considered.
