We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy operations team. You will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and internal transfer of stock, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time. You will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, quality, and safety standards within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive, store, move, and book goods in and out using the stock system.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring all paperwork is complete.
- Assign goods received numbers to delivery notes and maintain filing systems.
- Report stock shortages and request internal transfers as needed.
- Ensure product labelling is accurate and up to date.
- Wrap pallets securely for transportation and ensure safe handling of chemicals/stock.
- Quarantine damaged or out-of-date stock appropriately.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards according to 5S principles.
- Support stock takes and keep stock control systems accurate.
- Escalate issues with stock, deliveries, or equipment as required.
- Basic literacy and numeracy.
- Experience working within a warehouse environment.
- Entry-level computer skills.
- Strong work ethic, accountability, and willingness to learn.
- Positive, professional attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
- Current counterbalance license and experience operating an FLT.
- Training qualification in FLT.
- Knowledge of Sage 50.
- Familiarity with 5S, lean manufacturing, or 6-sigma principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (phone, written, in-person).
- Ability to multi-task and maintain focus on quality control.
