Closing Room Supervisor Required - Northampton
Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced Closing Room Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Northampton, NN1.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous supervisory experience within a footwear, garment, textile or manufacturing environment. The role would suit someone who has a strong eye for detail, understands production flow, and can support a team to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
The Role
As a Closing Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring production targets, quality standards and workflow are maintained.
Your duties may include:
Supervising the Closing Room team and supporting daily production
Monitoring quality standards throughout the department
Carrying out regular spot checks and ensuring work meets required standards
Allocating work based on team skills, priorities and production needs
Liaising with planning, managers and other departments to maintain production flow
Reporting any production issues or delays promptly
Supporting booking in and booking out processes where required
Providing guidance, support and constructive feedback to team members
Ensuring machinery, equipment and the room are maintained correctly
Supporting hands-on production work when required
Promoting a clean, organised and safe working environment
Following all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
We are looking for candidates who:
Have previous experience in a similar supervisory role
Have experience within footwear, garment, textile or manufacturing environments
Have strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
Are confident managing workflow and production priorities
Have good communication and team leadership skills
Can work closely with other departments and managers
Are proactive, organised and able to support change within a department
Are happy to be hands-on and support production when needed
