Multi-Drop Drivers Mate

Hours: Start times between 6:00am and 7:00am approximately 9-hour shifts
Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a Multi-Drop Drivers Mate to work on behalf of our client, a busy fresh and frozen food distribution company based in Harlow. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is looking for regular, ongoing work.
The Role
Working alongside the delivery driver, you will assist with delivering fresh and frozen food products to customers across multiple locations. Shifts are approximately 9 hours, but flexibility is essential as finishing times can vary depending on traffic, the number of drops and the day's delivery schedule. You may finish earlier or later than expected.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the driver with multi-drop deliveries
- Loading and unloading fresh and frozen food products
- Delivering goods safely and efficiently to customers
- Helping move deliveries from the vehicle to customer premises
- Checking delivery paperwork and quantities
- Handling products carefully and maintaining food hygiene standards
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers
- Keeping the delivery vehicle clean and organised
- Working closely with the driver to ensure deliveries run smoothly
The Ideal Candidate
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit, as regular lifting and manual handling is required
- Comfortable working early mornings
- Flexible with working and finishing times
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Previous delivery, warehouse or food distribution experience is beneficial but not essential
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
