First Article Inspector / Quality Inspection Engineer

Job Title: First Article Inspector / Quality Inspection Engineer – Aerospace Location: Denham, Middlesex Salary: £37 – £40 000.00 p/aJob Type: Permanent

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled First Article Inspector / Quality Inspection Engineer to join our aerospace manufacturing team specializing in ejection seat systems. You will work within the Inspection Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning the First Article Inspection requirements for a seat programme using QPM, the FAIR Software system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan First Article Inspection activities against required programs and Patrol Inspection Audit activity.
• Complete First Article Inspections and reports for top level part assembly seats and deliverable items and complete Patrol Inspection Audits and reports for designated products.
• Review and ensure that complete FAI’s meet the QAI-48 /AS9102 standard requirements.
• Conduct follow ups and maintain a spreadsheet for a Measure of Effectiveness (MOE) on notification corrective actions where applicable.

Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing / engineering , aerospace background.
• Understanding of the application of AS9100 audits and AS1902 First Article Inspection processes.
• Familiarity with Qpulse QPM software and SAP.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, processes and use of 2 and 3D images.
