The Role
This is a hands-on operational leadership position within a fast-paced ecommerce warehouse where customer expectations are high, volumes move quickly and every delay has a knock-on effect somewhere.
Youll be leading Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives across a busy ecommerce fulfilment operation, making sure orders leave accurately, on time and without operational chaos breaking out every five minutes.
Youll report directly into the Shift Operations Manager and play a key role in keeping the shift productive, organised and accountable.
This role would suit someone currently operating as a Warehouse Supervisor, Shift Supervisor or Senior Team Leader within an ecommerce, retail, D2C or high-volume fulfilment environment.
What Youll Be Doing
- Leading the day-to-day warehouse operation across your shift
- Managing Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives within a high-volume ecommerce environment
- Driving productivity, accuracy and SLA performance
- Supporting pick, pack, dispatch and returns operations
- Managing labour allocation and workflow priorities
- Monitoring shift KPIs and operational performance
- Conducting shift briefs, handovers and floor support
- Supporting onboarding, training and development of warehouse teams
- Managing absence, conduct and performance issues where needed
- Supporting operational improvements and process changes
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards are consistently maintained
- Working closely with the Shift Operations Manager to deliver operational targets
What Youll Need
- Previous experience supervising teams within an ecommerce or fulfilment warehouse operation
- Experience working in fast-paced KPI and SLA-driven environments
- Good understanding of ecommerce workflows including picking, packing, dispatch and customer order fulfilment
- Experience managing people, productivity and shift performance
- Confidence dealing with operational pressure and changing priorities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to lead from the front rather than manage from a chair
- A calm approach when the operation inevitably decides to test everyones patience simultaneously
