The Role
As a Trainee Butcher, you will receive training and support while developing practical skills within a professional food manufacturing environment. Your duties may include:
- Learning and developing basic butchery and meat preparation skills.
- Preparing and handling meat in line with company procedures.
- Learning to use butchery equipment safely and correctly.
- Working to strict food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
- Following production specifications and processes.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Working efficiently to meet production requirements.
- Supporting experienced butchers and the wider production team.
- Carrying out tasks safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Developing your skills and knowledge through on-the-job training.
About You
Previous butchery or food manufacturing experience is not essential. We are looking for people who:
- Are genuinely willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Have a positive attitude and good work ethic.
- Are reliable and punctual.
- Can follow instructions and established procedures.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Are comfortable working as part of a team.
- Understand the importance of hygiene, quality and food safety.

- Are committed to the Monday-to-Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm shift.
A background in food production, manufacturing, warehouse work, hospitality or similar environments would be useful, but is not required. Immediate starts are available.
