Sheet Metal Workers Required
Quest Employment are currently recruiting experienced Sheet Metal Workers for a busy and growing manufacturing company based in Coventry, CV7. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for long-term work, stable hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position within a skilled workshop environment.
The Role
- Manufacturing bespoke orders using galvanised and stainless steel sheets
- Working with sheet metal ranging from 0.9mm to 3mm
- Operating hydraulic presses and cutting machines to bend and cut materials
- Reading and understanding technical drawings and sketches
- Handling and lifting heavy materials and tools safely
- Working to high-quality production standards
- Liaising with the workshop foreman and other site employees
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Supporting the wider workshop team with daily operations
Key Skills and Experience
- Have previous sheet metal or fabrication experience
- Have experience working with galvanised sheet metal (preferred)
- Can confidently read technical drawings and sketches
- Are able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Have good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Are reliable, punctual and safety conscious
- Are able to lift heavy materials and tools
- Can provide their own basic tools
Previous experience within manufacturing, fabrication, engineering or workshop environments would be highly beneficial.
