Quest Employment are recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to work for our client in the DE74 area. Successful candidates will be responsible for the safe, accurate and efficient execution of day-to-day warehouse activities to support operational performance and customer service.

Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday 2pm-10pm

Pay Rate: £14.14 - 2pm-8pm £17.15 - 8pm-10pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate VNA trucks safely and in line with training, certification, and site procedures.
  • Complete daily pre-use checks and report any defects or safety concerns immediately.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements, including PPE and safe working practices in narrow aisle and racking environments.
  • Safely operate at height within racking systems, maintaining full awareness and control at all times.
  • Move, replenish, retrieve, and store stock accurately within very narrow aisle racking locations.
  • Ensure stock is correctly located and recorded within warehouse systems (WMS).
  • Support warehouse activities such as picking, replenishment, loading, unloading, and general stock handling when required.
  • Work flexibly across VNA and other warehouse duties to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain high levels of productivity, accuracy, and safe working standards.
  • Report stock discrepancies, damages, or operational issues promptly.
  • Work closely with colleagues and supervisors, communicating clearly and effectively.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture within the warehouse.
  • Contribute ideas and support improvements to safety, efficiency, and warehouse processes.

Requirements:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Valid VNA/MHE licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent) or willingness to be trained.
  • Proven experience operating VNA trucks in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Experience with other MHE equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures in a high-bay storage environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong spatial awareness for narrow aisle work.
  • Experience using WMS/RF systems and understanding of stock control and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to work safely and accurately at height within racking systems.
  • Clear communication skills and a team-focused approach.
  • Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to support, guide, or assist other operators when required.
