I'm working with a well-established local café in Peterborough looking for an experienced Cook/Chef to join the team on a temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door, with the possibility of the role becoming longer-term for the right person.
You'll be joining a friendly, hardworking team where quality, consistency and customer service are genuinely valued.
What you'll be doing: Preparing and cooking fresh breakfasts, lunches and daily specials.
Ensuring food is presented to a high standard.
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food hygiene regulations.
Managing stock, rotating ingredients and minimising waste.
Working efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality.
Supporting the wider team to keep the café running smoothly.
We're looking for someone who: Has previous experience working as a Cook or Chef.
Can work independently and stay calm under pressure.
Has a good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Takes pride in producing consistently good food.
Is reliable, punctual and enjoys being part of a team.
Holds a Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable but not essential).
