About the Role We are looking for an experienced
Project Engineer to join an amazing engineering team.
You will be responsible for managing projects from concept and design through to completion, including development, testing, analysis and reporting.
Working closely with engineering, production, sales, customers and suppliers, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, meeting technical requirements, quality standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from initial concept through to completion, including planning, budgeting and progress tracking.
- Produce technical documentation, reports, presentations, work instructions and job packs.
- Create and interpret engineering drawings, ensuring designs consider manufacturing methods, tolerances and specifications.
- Provide technical support to production, sales teams, customers and suppliers.
- Analyse engineering data, complete testing and support product development improvements.
- Research new technologies, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and maintain accurate project records.
- Support colleagues through knowledge sharing and training when required.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Experience within mechanical, electrical or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials and product design.
- Experience with CAD software (Solid Works preferred).
- Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and understand tolerances and fits.
- Knowledge of manufacturing techniques and engineering standards.
- Understanding of FEA, data acquisition systems and sensor technology is advantageous.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel for engineering calculations and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Experience producing technical reports and presenting technical information.
