Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join our clients facilities team, working across multiple sites in the local area. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining facilities to a high standard and is confident carrying out general grounds and property maintenance duties.
The Role
- Preparing and maintaining sports halls, recreational areas and facilities
- Carrying out general grounds maintenance
- Mowing grass and trimming greenery
- Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas clean and presentable
- Emptying bins and arranging disposal of waste
- Opening and closing facilities as required
- Carrying out general property maintenance and basic repairs
- Checking facilities and reporting any maintenance issues
- Ensuring buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a safe and high standard
- Supporting the wider facilities team with general duties as required
- Working across multiple sites, meaning travel between locations will be required
About You
- Practical, reliable and hardworking
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Able to carry out physical and manual duties
- Experienced in grounds maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or a similar role
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Well organised with good attention to detail
- Friendly and professional when dealing with members of the public and facility users
- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of duties
- A full clean UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to work across multiple sites
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facilities management, caretaking, property maintenance or a similar position would be advantageous.
