Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join our clients facilities team, working across multiple sites in the local area. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining facilities to a high standard and is confident carrying out general grounds and property maintenance duties.

The Role

  • Preparing and maintaining sports halls, recreational areas and facilities
  • Carrying out general grounds maintenance
  • Mowing grass and trimming greenery
  • Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas clean and presentable
  • Emptying bins and arranging disposal of waste
  • Opening and closing facilities as required
  • Carrying out general property maintenance and basic repairs
  • Checking facilities and reporting any maintenance issues
  • Ensuring buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a safe and high standard
  • Supporting the wider facilities team with general duties as required
  • Working across multiple sites, meaning travel between locations will be required

About You

  • Practical, reliable and hardworking
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
  • Able to carry out physical and manual duties
  • Experienced in grounds maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or a similar role
  • Able to work independently and use initiative
  • Well organised with good attention to detail
  • Friendly and professional when dealing with members of the public and facility users
  • Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of duties
  • A full clean UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to work across multiple sites
  • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, facilities management, caretaking, property maintenance or a similar position would be advantageous.
