About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Drainage Engineer to join a well-established team in Banbury. No previous drainage experience is required, as full training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for someone who is reliable, physically fit and looking to develop a long-term career within the drainage industry. Once fully trained and taken on permanently, you will receive qualifications in Drainage Engineering and High-Pressure Jet Washing, along with continued development within the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with drainage maintenance, repairs and clearance work
- Using high-pressure jet washing equipment once trained
- Carrying out inspections and identifying drainage issues
- Working both indoors and outdoors in a variety of environments
- Completing physically demanding tasks and manual handling
- Working independently when required, as well as part of a team
- Keeping company vehicles and equipment clean and maintained
- Following all company health & safety procedures
- Providing a professional service to customers
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. You must be flexible with your finish time, as some jobs may overrun. Once fully trained, you will be required to participate in an on-call rota of approximately one weekend per month.
About You
- No previous experience required; full training provided
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Must be aged 25+ due to company vehicle insurance requirements
- Must be physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Able to work independently and use your own initiative once trained
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to pass an Advanced DBS check
