Job Description
Back of House Supervisor
We are recruiting on behalf of a prestigious 5-star luxury hotel in Watford for an experienced and reliable Back of House Supervisor to join their operational team.
This is a key support role within the hotels food and beverage operation, ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of all back of house areas. The successful candidate will lead by example, maintain exceptional hygiene and organisational standards, and support service teams in delivering a seamless 5-star guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily back of house operations, including stewarding, kitchen porters, and cleaning teams
- Ensure all kitchen, storage, and service areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Oversee waste management, recycling, and stock rotation procedures
- Ensure all equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware are cleaned, stored, and available for service
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Maintain full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
- Carry out regular checks to ensure adherence to hotel policies, HACCP standards, and brand requirements
- Support audits and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are implemented where required
