Quest Employment is currently recruiting Production & Assembly Operatives to join a well-established construction manufacturing business in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing team that manufactures high-quality timber construction products, including roofing systems, timber frames, boarding, and other structural building components. Full training is provided, with opportunities to develop your skills across multiple departments and build a long-term career.
The Role
- Manufacturing and assembling timber construction products, including roofing systems, boarding, and structural components
- Using a variety of hand and power tools, including nail guns, saws, and other woodworking equipment
- Reading basic production instructions and assembling products to specification
- Measuring, cutting, and preparing timber materials for production
- Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
- Assisting with material movement, stock organisation, and general yard duties
- Following health and safety procedures at all times within a busy manufacturing environment
- Keeping workstations clean, organised, and safe
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production targets
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within production, manufacturing, construction, assembly, woodworking, warehouse, or yard environments is advantageous but not essential
- Experience using hand or power tools is desirable
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- A good understanding of health and safety practices
- Counterbalance, Side Loader, or Multi-Directional Forklift Truck licence is beneficial but not essential
