Quest Employment are searching for an experienced Accounts and Audit professional who is seeking a better work/life balance without the compromise in compensation.
You could be an Audit Senior / Assistant Manager / Manager with all-round, comprehensive experience in Accounts, who wants to step away from the typical long hours and overtime in practice.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 16:30pm (30 minute break; as no one stays in the office even a minute past finish time).
Benefits:

The Role / Responsibilities:
A mix of Accounts (60%) and Audit (40%) responsibilities. Client turnovers range from small OMBs to medium-sized groups with turnovers of up to 55m.
- Preparation of accounts and corporation tax computations for predominantly small listed companies with a wide range of turnovers, sole traders, and partnerships.
- Liaising with clients to collect documentation and information.
- Resolve client queries to draft accounts and tax computations.
- Preparing VAT returns and management accounts.
- Audit; from planning to completion.
- Managing juniors on audit assignments assigning, overseeing and reviewing work.
- Provide training, guidance and support to members of the team as required.
Qualifications / Requirements:
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and who does not require any training.
- Minimum of 5 years of practice experience in audit, accounting, tax, management, and compliance.
- ACA or ACCA qualified (full study support provided for the right candidate).
- Ability to run audit assignments immediately.
- Experience of OMBs, Medium-sized business accounts, including the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Flexible and proactive approach with the ability to solve problems using own initiative.
- Excellent communication skills and IT skills, specifically Excel.
- Ability to check work for accuracy and have good attention to detail.
- Ability and will to travel to client’s premises.
