PPT Driver in Stevenage

Location: Stevenage
Pay Rate: £13.89 per hour
Hours: 6:30am–6:30pm, working on a shift pattern including weekends

The Role

Quest Employment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) Forklift Driver to join a busy food warehouse in Stevenage.

This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse experience who is confident operating a PPT and is looking for ongoing work, with the potential for a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a PPT safely to move food products around the warehouse.

• Transporting stock between warehouse areas and designated storage locations.

• Loading and unloading deliveries as required.

• Supporting picking, packing and general warehouse duties.

• Ensuring products are handled safely and accurately.

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

• Following all health and safety and food hygiene procedures.

Requirements

• Previous PPT operating experience is essential.

• A valid, recognised PPT qualification is desirable/required, depending on site requirements.

• Previous warehouse experience, ideally within food distribution.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, where required.

• Flexible to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
