Night Shift PPT Warehouse Operative – Cold Storage
Location: Peterborough
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10pm – 6am
Shift: Night Shift
Pay: Competitive hourly rate
The Role
We're looking for an experienced PPT Warehouse Operative who can handle a fast-paced, demanding warehouse environment – and doesn't mind the cold!
You'll be working within a busy temperature-controlled warehouse, including chilled and frozen storage areas where temperatures range from -5°C to -18°C.
This isn't a job for someone who likes a quiet shift. It's busy, physical and requires someone who can think on their feet, learn quickly and keep up with the pace.
If you're resilient, reliable and enjoy a challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Be Doing
-
Operating a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely and efficiently.
-
Moving and organising stock within chilled and frozen storage areas.
-
Loading, unloading and preparing goods for dispatch.
-
Picking and moving products accurately while meeting productivity targets.
-
Working to tight deadlines in a fast-moving operation.
-
Following strict health, safety and cold storage procedures.
-
Supporting the wider warehouse team to keep things running smoothly.
What You’ll Need
-
Previous PPT operating experience is essential.
-
Previous warehouse experience, ideally within a fast-paced operation.
-
The ability to work comfortably in temperatures between -5°C and -18°C.
-
A quick learner who can pick up processes and instructions with minimal supervision.
-
Resilience and the ability to stay focused under pressure.
-
Good physical fitness and a willingness to get stuck in.
What You Might Not Like
We're upfront about our roles because we want you to know exactly what you're applying for.
It's cold. It's busy. And it can be demanding.
You'll be working in chilled and frozen environments, moving stock throughout your shift and expected to maintain both speed and accuracy.
If you prefer a slower-paced, warm warehouse environment, this probably won't be for you.
But if you're someone who enjoys being active, thrives under pressure and takes pride in getting the job done, you could be exactly who we're looking for.
