We're recruiting a Logistics Operative with traffic management experience to support a busy local authority highways team, helping to keep roadworks safe, sites organised and vital infrastructure projects moving.

The Role
You’ll play an important part in supporting highway maintenance and development works, ensuring traffic management measures are implemented and maintained safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Setting up, installing and maintaining roadworks signage and traffic management measures.
- Ensuring work areas are safe for road users, pedestrians and colleagues.
- Supporting highway construction and maintenance activities.
- Erecting posts and carrying out associated groundwork.
- Undertaking backfilling and reinstatement of highways following works.
- Following relevant health and safety procedures and traffic management requirements.
- Working collaboratively with the highways team to deliver essential works across the city.
What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from practical, reliable operatives who have experience implementing and maintaining traffic management measures within a highway environment.
Essential Requirements
- A full UK driving licence, including Category B.
- Previous experience in traffic management, highways maintenance or roadworks.
- A safety-first approach and the ability to work effectively outdoors.
- A flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- NRSWA Streetworks qualification.
- CSCS card or accreditation.
- LANTRA or another relevant traffic management qualification.
Additional Information
Don't have every qualification listed? That's not necessarily a barrier. Candidates with relevant practical experience of traffic management in a highways environment will also be considered.
