Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join a precision engineering and manufacturing environment in Daventry. The successful candidate will have previous experience within manufacturing or engineering and be confident working with industrial machinery.
The role will involve supporting milling and turning operations, along with a range of general machine operative duties. Previous experience working with precision engineering machinery would be highly advantageous. Knowledge or experience of RoboDrill machinery would also be beneficial.
Full training will be provided, and previous machine-setting experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating machinery as part of the milling and turning processes
- Carrying out general machine operative duties
- Loading and unloading components from machinery
- Monitoring machinery during production
- Following production instructions and processes accurately
- Carrying out visual and quality checks
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working in line with company health and safety procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is essential
- Experience working with precision engineering machinery is highly desirable
- Previous experience in milling or turning would be advantageous
- Knowledge of RoboDrill machinery would be beneficial
- Good understanding of working safely around industrial machinery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Reliable and consistent approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- No previous machine-setting experience is required
Full training will be provided to ensure the successful candidate is competent in the specific machinery and processes used within the business.
