Quest Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join a busy and supportive kitchen team within a vibrant and welcoming environment. This is an exciting temporary to permanent opportunity for a motivated chef looking to develop their skills within a professional kitchen that values teamwork, creativity, and work-life balance.

You will work alongside an experienced culinary team including Section Chefs, Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, and Head Chef, gaining exposure across multiple kitchen sections and helping deliver high-quality food to an exceptional standard.

The Role

As Chef de Partie, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, supporting food preparation, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and ensuring dishes are consistently presented to a high standard. This role would suit someone who is passionate about food, organised under pressure, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality dishes across various kitchen sections
  • Support the wider kitchen team in delivering an excellent food service
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Ensure consistency in presentation and quality
  • Follow food safety procedures and kitchen best practices
  • Assist with stock rotation and kitchen organisation

What We're Looking For

  • Professional cookery or food preparation qualification
  • Previous experience in a Chef de Partie or similar kitchen role
  • Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
  • A positive, flexible, and team-focused attitude
  • Passion for fresh food and high standards
  • Previous experience in a similar environment is beneficial, but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.

Working Hours

The role operates on a rotating 4-week shift pattern designed to promote a healthier work-life balance:

  • Mixture of daytime and evening shifts
  • Typically only two evenings per week
  • Just one weekend in four
  • No excessively late finishes
