We are currently recruiting for a Relief Chef to support a number of residential care homes across the Birmingham area. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys variety in their role and is passionate about providing high-quality, nutritious meals for residents.

The Role

As a Relief Chef, you will provide cover across multiple sites, supporting kitchen teams during holidays, sickness, and other absences. You will play a key role in ensuring residents continue to receive excellent food and service standards at all times.

Duties include:

  • Preparing and cooking fresh meals for residents
  • Supporting and leading kitchen teams when required
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Completing food safety and compliance documentation
  • Assisting with stock control and ordering
  • Ensuring dietary requirements and nutritional needs are met
  • Covering Chef and Chef Manager absences across different locations

What We're Looking For

Previous chef experience, ideally within care homes, healthcare, hospitality or contract catering. Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety.
