Quercus Gardens offer landscaping and maintenance contracts throughout North London and the surrounding counties. Run by a brother partnership with over 25 years experience in the gardening and landscaping industry, we provide a complete range of private and commercial services. Quercus Gardens require an experienced gardener to join our growing company. A successful candidate would have to meet in Enfield at 7am Monday - Friday and lead (including driving) one of our maintenance teams. We have a wide range of clients from small private gardens to some of North London’s most prestigious housing estates.
We are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable gardener that has attention to detail and can work efficiently to a high standard. Although maintenance is our main source of work, we also carry out soft landscaping, planting, irrigation and hard landscaping. Staff are encouraged to learn, grow and progress within the company.
Duties:
- Perform general gardening and groundskeeping tasks to maintain the appearance and health of the garden.
- Operate power tools such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers to maintain the lawn.
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and shears for gardening tasks.
- Prune and trim plants to promote growth and maintain desired shape.
- Weed and remove debris from garden beds.
- Plant, water, and fertilize flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Monitor and control pests and diseases to ensure the health of plants.
- Irrigate plants using various methods such as sprinklers or drip systems.
- Assist with landscape maintenance projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in gardening and groundskeeping.
- Knowledge of plant care techniques, including planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control.
- Familiarity with power tools used in gardening and groundskeeping.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for gardening tasks.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in outdoor environments.
- Attention to detail to ensure the garden is well-maintained and visually appealing.
- Ability to operate irrigation systems effectively.
