Quell is a London‑based clinical‑stage biotechnology company developing engineered regulatory T cell (Treg) therapies for immune‑mediated diseases. Its lead asset, QEL‑005, is a pipeline‑in‑a‑product for complex autoimmune diseases and is being evaluated in the Phase 1/2 CHILL clinical trial. We are looking to recruit a Research Associate to expand our Technical Development team. The team is working very closely with the Research and Development department and will contribute to the creation of best ways of manufacturing processes to help develop our CAR‑Treg therapies and will be involved in generating next generation products. The individual will be working very closely with R&D, internal and external manufacturing teams while participating in the effective running of daily operations process development team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated technician to contribute to a key part of our work. Quell offers an exciting and highly dynamic environment focused on developing cutting‑edge Treg therapies. The role requires being onsite 5 days per week and will require flexibility to travel between both London sites (White City and London Bridge).
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct experiments under supervision
- Manage databases and assist in establishing relevant SOPs.
- Contribute to improvement of existing process design, regarding efficiency and quality
- Assist in designing, conducting, optimizing, and evaluating new processes in manufacture within GMP environment
- Ensure that all studies, tests and procedures performed in the laboratory follow quality procedures.
- Handle mammalian and primary human immune cell cultures and perform cell culturing, cell isolation, cryopreservation and other processing techniques.
- Use various methodologies including flow cytometry, FACS, ELISA.
- Perform analytical assays.
