About the Company
Quell is a British defence and security AI technology start-up developing solutions to counter drone, vehicle, and human threats across the military, civilian and CNI sectors.
We are looking for Technical Specialists to join our growing team, working with our cutting-edge technology to support roll-out and deployment to our customers. With each deployment, our Technical Specialists are involved in all stages of the process, taking on responsibility for understanding customer requirements, advising on customer deployment strategies and use cases, providing product training and post-deployment support and everything in between.
As part of a small team, you will have a high degree of autonomy and be able to work independently towards common team objectives. You will quickly be given responsibility and are also likely to be involved in multiple projects concurrently.
To be successful, candidates should:
- Have a good academic background (2:1 or above) in a STEM subject, such as maths, physics, engineering, or computer science.
- Have excellent communication skills and be comfortable talking to external stakeholders.
- Be capable of working independently.
- Be able to learn new technologies and skills quickly to support our wide range of projects.
- Be willing to travel to support our customers on-site where necessary.
In addition, ideal candidates would also:
- Have experience working with consumer electronics and gadgets.
- Have familiarity with computer networking.
- Have strong organisational skills.
This list of ideal qualities is NOT a hard requirement, and an ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and skills quickly will be looked upon as favourably as experience. We will provide all necessary training in our technologies and products and as such, this role is ideally suited to new and recent graduates.
Details
Location: Based in North Uttlesford / Greater Cambridge area, this is a hybrid role, so onsite and remotely. The role will involve travel throughout the UK and beyond.
Five days a week. Full UK driving licence required. If this isn't held, candidates will need to commit to obtaining within 6 months of their start date.
