We are currently seeking an Assembly Technician to support the assembly of precision mechanical, optic & electronic assemblies.

The successful candidate will assemble components according to engineering drawings, and documented workflows, while also being able to demonstrate intuition while assembling prototypes without drawings or guides.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, optical and electronic assemblies according to established documentation and work-flows
  • Perform soldering, wiring, cable harness assembly, and mechanical integration tasks
  • Use tools (hand/power) and precision instruments to assemble components accurately
  • Ensure work is performed with great attention to detail and cleanliness

Requirements

  • Experience in electronics, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical field
  • Experience in mechanical assembly and/or optical / electronic assembly in a manufacturing or workshop environmentExperience with soldering electronic components, cable harnessing, and wiring assemblies
  • Experience following quality assurance processes and assessing and reporting non-conformances
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with iterative improvements

Details

  • Location: North Uttlesford / Greater Cambridge area, on-site
  • Five days a week on-site (ie: this is not a hybrid role)
  • Applicants must be fully eligible to work in the UK without restriction, time limit, or the need for current or future sponsorship.
