THE ROLE
Research Associate – Process Development
We are looking to recruit a Research Associate to expand our Process Development team. The individual will be participating in the effective running of daily operations in the Process Development Team and will contribute to creation of best ways of manufacturing process to help to develop our CAR-Treg therapies.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated technician to contribute to a key part of our work. Quell offers an exciting and highly dynamic environment focused on developing cutting-edge Treg therapies.
- Conduct experiments under supervision, manage databases and assist in establishing relevant SOPs.
- Coordinate and collaborate with team members to assist with completion of multiple projects in a timely manner.
- Participate in execution of experiments and presentation of experimental results.
- Ensure all processes and documentation comply within the required standards.
- Comply with standard lab practices and company policies.
- Contribute to improvement of existing process design, regarding efficiency and quality.
- Assist in designing, conducting, optimizing, and evaluating new processes in manufacture within GMP environment.
- Handle primary human immune cell cultures and perform cell isolation, cell culturing, cryopreservation and other processing techniques.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum BSc degree in a relevant study field.
- Primary human immune cell cultures in an aseptic manner.
- Expertise in cell-based techniques including magnetic enrichment and flow cytometry.
- Ability to overcome challenges and possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and prioritising skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of immunology and cell therapy is advantageous.
