Relief Day Care Support Workers provide cover for planned holidays, absence and training days.
Working as part of a team of paid staff and volunteers, provide an engaging and social day for older people and older people with a diagnosis of dementia
Essential
- experience of working with older people,
- An ability to carry out moving and handling tasks and assist Day Care members with personal care and continence management.
- Basic working knowledge of computers and word processing.
Preferred
- SVQ 2 Health and Social Care.
- Ability to adhere and follow personal plans and risk assessments for service users.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements of the Care Inspectorate and Scottish Social Services Council.
- Confidence to assist and take part in planned “one to one” and group activities.
- PVG membership mandatory for this position.
