Role Summary: Senior Learning Mentor to support growth of the school as part of the Pastoral Team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop targeted programmes to support improvements in attendance, achievement and student engagement.
- Deliver and co-ordinate effective whole‑school and targeted interventions for individuals and groups.
- Provide guidance and support that positively impacts students’ self‑esteem, wellbeing and readiness to learn.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and leadership to remove barriers to learning.
- Engage proactively with parents, carers and external agencies to provide holistic support for young people.
Qualifications:
- A proven track record of developing and delivering successful intervention programmes.
- Experience of working across a whole‑school approach as well as with targeted groups and individuals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, families, staff and external professionals.
- High levels of resilience, patience and emotional intelligence, particularly when working with students who may present with complex needs or behaviours.
- A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to improving outcomes for those from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
- A clear commitment to inclusion and removing barriers to learning.
