Queensbridge Primary School is seeking to appoint a dynamic Pastoral Care Officer to start in January 2027. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is unafraid of a challenge and committed to making a positive difference to our children.

As an overview, you will:

  • Model excellent practice and share skills and experience with others.
  • Promote the highest standards of student wellbeing, behaviour, and communication with parents.
  • Provide individual support to children, working closely with teaching staff, support staff, and outside agencies.
  • Work with whole classes, targeted intervention groups, and individual children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in a primary school learning environment and be able to demonstrate sound communication skills. You must have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/Level 4 or above. A full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential in this role.

Professional Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with individuals or small groups of children.
  • Supporting children with social and emotional well-being.
  • Implementing specific programmes with individuals or small groups appropriate to their development needs throughout the curriculum area and/or internal interventions.
  • Developing positive relationships with children and staff to assist with progress and attainment.
  • Supporting our Attendance Officer.
  • Attending relevant meetings.
  • Putting the children at the heart of all decision making.
