About the job: Work with the other senior leads for Post-Registration programmes to lead, manage and develop Post-Registration training programmes for pharmacists across Northern Ireland and develop a new programme applicable to pharmacists from all sectors of pharmacy.

This new programme will meet the Royal College of Pharmacy's Enhanced Practice Curriculum expected in September 2026.
The role will require collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and will require agility and creative thinking to develop the new programme whilst ensuring there is a continuum of development from experiential learning to foundation training year, into enhanced practice and beyond to advanced pharmacy practice.
NICPLD is funded by the Department of Health to deliver a wide range of pharmacy learning and development programmes across Northern Ireland.
Some programmes are also available to other healthcare professionals.
Programmes are offered through two websites: and NICPLD staff are employed by Queen's University Belfast.
This role is primarily home-based (remote working), with access to office facilities at the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency (NIMDTA), Beechill House, Belfast, and occasional in-person attendance as required.
This hybrid arrangement differs from the typical working model at Queen's University Belfast and reflects the unique nature of the post.
The post is 0.8 although we can consider a minimum of 0.6 FTE.

About the person: The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria: Qualifications: Masters or Honours degree in pharmacy.
Independent prescribing qualification Relevant postgraduate qualification Member or eligible for membership of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.
Experience: At least 5 years of Post-Registration practice experience to include substantial experience in delivering professional education programmes and work-based training.
